Looks nice! What products do you use?

Simoniz “Big Red”, “Polish Compound”, and their synthetic sealer. Used a clay bar pad on an oribital before all that. The paint is like glass now.

Ooh, clay bar pad on an orbital! I’ve never seen that, but I am pretty new to detailing and all the products out there. That sounds way better than doing it by hand for hours.

I always washed my cars regularly but was the kind of guy who used dish detergent and maybe some Turtle Wax once in a while. I like to see what people are using and the results they get, because there are just so many products out thete that I could never try them all unless I bought all new stuff each time I wash the car.

The clay pad on the orbital is next level awesome. I’ll never clay a car by hand again. I actually just started professionally detailing about a month ago. Its great work. So many different products out there that you can use.

If your starting out detailing the best bit of advice I can give is, get two buckets (one you’ll use for shampoo and water solution, the other plain water), a microfibre wash mitt or similar, a good shampoo with no gloss enhancers and a good sealant or wax and a good glass cleaner. Get those right and then work on from there.

Thanks! I have to get a second bucket, that’s a good tip. I have been using Meguiar’s products mainly since it’s available at the local shop but I’m sure there’s probably better stuff out there.
